Watch and learn how to make Achari Bhindi recipe from our chef Smita Deo on Ruchkar Mejwani. <br /> <br />Achari Bhindi is an easy to make spicy vegetarian main course recipe where Bhindi is cooked in delicious tomato gravy and aromatic Indian spices. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />1 tbsp Oil <br />1/2 Kg Okra (Bhendi), cut in 1 inch pieces <br /> <br />2 tbsp Oil <br />1 tsp Fennel Seeds <br />1 tsp Mustard Seeds <br />1 tsp Kalonji <br />8-10 Fenugreek Seeds <br />1/2 tsp Grated Ginger <br />3 Tomatoes, grated <br />1/2 Cup Curd <br />1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder <br />1 tsp Red Chilli Powder <br />2 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder <br />Salt to taste <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- In a pan add little oil. Then add chopped bhindi and saute it for few minutes till the bhindi is cooked. <br />- In another pan heat some oil. <br />- Add fennel seeds, mustard seeds, kalonji, fenugreek seeds, grated ginger and grated tomatoes. Mix well. <br />- Add curd and mix everything well. <br />- Once the water dries out add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander seeds powder. Saute well till the gravy releases its oil. <br />- Then add salt and stir fried bhindi. Mix well. <br />- Cover it for two minutes and let the sabzi cook. <br />- Achari Bhindi is ready to be relished!
